The two groups have different approaches, one has a traditional ‘dig’ approach while the other “follows the well respected Charles Dowding’s approach to No Dig gardening”.
The “dig” allotment plot is number 62a at Millfield Allotments. However, this does not mean we embark on a lot of hard digging. Our aim is to enjoy the outdoors and socialize with like-minded people whilst producing lovely organic vegetables. Each member contributes what they can in the way of seeds, plug plants etc. and we try to share out fairly the results of our labour. The rent is payable to Millfield Allotments each November.
