This is a new monthly social group.
The idea is to support local hospitality businesses, for example cafes and pubs, and to get U3A members visiting local places they might not already know. Some places will provide lunch if people want to stay on. The venue will be different each month and so far meetings have been arranged at the Cafe on the Creek and at Creek Creative.
Anyone can join the group, but each meeting will have a maximum of 8 people, first come first served. So you might not meet the same people twice.
However, any group member can suggest a venue. Venues could include cafes, bars, clubs, members' own homes or gardens, an artist's studio, a boat, a farm shop - anything you'd like to support. Suggestions for more unusual, unexpected or out of the way places will be welcomed.
In 2025, all meetings are on the 1st Friday of the month.
With any luck we’ll explore Faversham and District through coffee!
